Overview

Beta 200 series filter cartridge is designed for industry applications. The unique design combines high filtration efficiency with exceptional dirt holding capacity for performance. It offers maximum protection to critical hydraulic and lubrication system components. Efficient and reliable, these technologically advanced elements remove an extremely high percentage of damaging particles from all commonly used fluids. By effectively eliminating contaminants that cause premature component wear and equipment failure, Beta200 elements provide the fluid cleanliness levels to protect the system investment over its total life. ① Upstream Distribution Wire Mesh
A unique combination of rugged proprietary wire mesh and open synthetic high strength support material optimizes flow distribution and strength.
② Pre-filtration Layer
Remove course particles. The media laminated binder with upstream side.
③ Effect Filtration Layer
Remove fine particles. It combines pre-filtration media into a tapered pore structure.
④ Downstream Support Wire Mesh
Provide additional filter media support during cold starts and extended service.
⑤ Central Support Perforated Core
Metal perforated core is corrosion resistant and support element collapse pressure.

Selection

Beta200 filter elements are divided into absolute grade (βx≧200) high-efficiency glass fiber filter elements of 2μm, 6μm, 10μm and 20μm according to ISO4572 multiple penetration test. It has passed the ISO2943 chemical compatibility test, and has been tested for differential pressure and flow in accordance with ISO3768 and structural integrity in accordance with ISO2942. The general type burst pressure differential can reach ΔP>210bar, and is suitable for filtering mineral oil, synthetic oil, water glycol and phosphate ester oil.

Identify the most critical or finest-tolerance component in your hydraulic or lubrication system according to the table above.
Select the operating load condition:
A (High Load) : Hydraulic system pressure > 2500 psi, or lubrication system viscosity < 500 SUS
B (Medium Load) : Hydraulic system pressure: 1500–2500 psi, or lubrication system viscosity: 500–1000 SUS
C (Low Load) : Hydraulic system pressure < 1500 psi, or lubrication system viscosity > 1000 SUS
By combining the results from Steps 1 and 2, the required system cleanliness level and recommended filter element grade can be determined.
