What is Putty?

A simple way to understand putty is to think of the clay we used to play with as kids.
It’s fun because you can freely create characters, animals, and all kinds of shapes—letting your imagination run wild. Similarly, industrial putty offers the same. It easily fits into gaps and holes of any shape, and because it can be molded irregularly, it’s more flexible and versatile than regular silicone or sealants.

When should you use Putty?!

When you want an easier job

⭕ Putty: Anyone can use it instantly—no extra tools required. Its strong adhesion means it can be applied on its own.
❌ Mortar: Cheap but requires mixing before use and possible to drip on walls, floors.
❌ Caulking materials: Requires tools and is less convenient to apply.

When you need to fill gaps of various sizes

⭕ Putty: Can be shaped to match the size of gaps or holes, making the job quick and simple.
❌ Rubber filler: Very durable in regular holes but not suitable for irregular ones.
❌ Caulking compounds: Workable for narrow gaps but not large spaces.

When you need a functional sealant

⭕ Putty: Available in specialized types such as high-temp putty, flame-retardant putty, rodent-proof putty, and even putty that hardens underwater. By adding pigments, it can also be made in any color.

Putty is everywhere, it quietly supports our daily lives, commonly used in:

Hospitals, schools, and apartment buildings
Commercial facilities and food factories
Ships, subways, trains, and other vehicles
Convenience stores, supermarkets, and home appliances
Civil engineering, tunnels, and bridges
Even power transmission towers

In Japanese, “Kizuna” (絆) means bonds, emotional ties, and heartfelt connections.
This represents the core philosophy of Nitto Kasei Co., Ltd., the original manufacturer of our industrial putty. Nitto values strong relationships with customers and believes that sincere, wholehearted service is the key to building true connections. Moving forward, we will continue our efforts to deliver best products for every field and application. (Source: Nitto Kasei Co., Ltd.)
